25 September 2026, Struga – At the International Conference “Energy 2026”, organized by the Association of Energy Engineers of Macedonia – ZEMAK, Stojana Megan Miloshevska, Energy Markets Specialist at MEMO, presented a paper entitled “Comparative Analysis of the Day-Ahead Market: Before and During the Early Stages of CBAM in the Republic of North Macedonia.”

The paper analyzes the status and development of the day-ahead electricity market through several market indicators, focusing on price volatility, market liquidity, and the impact of renewable energy generation on price formation.

The analysis covers the period from 2024 to 2026 and examines changes in trading volumes, price movements, and market dynamics in the context of the energy transition and the gradual implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Other representatives of the National Electricity Market Operator – MEMO LLC are also participating in the conference, providing an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experience with domestic and international experts and professionals from the energy sector.

The two-day conference brings together domestic and international experts in the field of energy and focuses on current challenges, modern technologies, and the future development of the energy sector.
