According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in August 2026, 484 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses (net consumption).
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 519 GWh.
ESM contributed the largest share at 209 GWh (40.3%), followed by aggregators at 157 GWh (30.2%), independent producers at 135 GWh (26.1%), and renewable electricity producers with a feed-in tariff (FIT) at 18 GWh (3.4%).
The share of domestic electricity generation in total net consumption in August 2026 was 100%.
