According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in May 2026, 430 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.

Transactions from domestic production amounted to 457 GWh.

ESM contributed the largest share with 201 GWh (44%), followed by aggregators with 131 GWh (28.6%), independent producers with 70 GWh (15.4%), and renewable electricity producers with a feed-in tariff (FIT) with 55 GWh (12.1%).

The share of domestic electricity generation in total net consumption in May 2026 was 100%.
