According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in February 2026, 550 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 533 GWh.
ESM contributed the largest share with 251 GWh (47.1%), followed by independent producers with 174 GWh (32.7%), renewable electricity producers with a feed-in tariff (FIT) of 56 GWh (10.5%), and virtual producers with 52 GWh (9.7%).
The share of domestic electricity generation in total net consumption in February 2026 was 96.8%.
