According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in January 2026, 664 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.

Transactions from domestic production amounted to 614 GWh.

ESM contributed the largest share with 335 GWh (54.6%), followed by independent producers with 192 GWh (31.2%), virtual producers with 40 GWh (6.6%), and renewable electricity producers with a feed-in tariff (FIT) of 47 GWh (7.6%).

The share of domestic electricity generation in total net consumption in January 2026 was 92.4%.
