According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in December 2025, 614 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 605 GWh.
ESM contributed the largest share with 305 GWh (50.4%), followed by independent producers with 199 GWh (33%), virtual producers with 50 GWh (8.2%), and renewable electricity producers with a feed-in tariff (FIT) of 51 GWh (8.4%).
The share of domestic electricity generation in total net consumption in December 2025 was 98.5%. On an annual basis, the share of total domestic electricity production in relation to total net consumption is 100%.
