Today, a meeting of the Sector Working Group for Energy was held at the Government, attended by representatives from MEMO, all key institutions, and international partners. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Božinovska, together with representatives from the EU Delegation.

The purpose of the meeting was to confirm the results and the pace of the ongoing energy reforms, which are entering an accelerated phase. MEMO is continuously working on developing a stable and competitive electricity market, prepared for integration with the European electricity market.

In parallel, preparations are being finalized for the launch of the Intraday Market, which is expected to become operational by the end of the second quarter of 2026. Work is also underway on the development of the Guarantees of Origin system, as well as the digitalization of bilateral trading processes — all with the goal of greater transparency, security, and trust in the market.

Conclusion of the meeting: the reforms are moving forward with a clear plan, strong partners, and timely fulfilment of deadlines.
