Today, MEMO welcomed a team from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, currently on a working visit to North Macedonia. The meeting was attended by MEMO’s CEO, Mr. Zoran Gjorgjievski, along with the management team.

Discussions focused on the development of the organized electricity market, the introduction of the Intraday Market, and plans for Market Coupling with Greece, primarily.

“Our goal is to build a transparent and competitive market that provides security and predictability. We continue to work on the implementation of the Intraday Market actively, expected to become operational by the end of Q2 2026, as well as on market coupling processes with neighbouring countries,” said Mr. Gjorgjievski.

The IFC team expressed support for MEMO’s initiatives, highlighting the importance of regional coordination and the ongoing energy transition.
