According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in August 2025, 424 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 446 GWh. ESM contributed the largest share with 169 GWh (38.0%), followed by independent producers with 148 GWh (33.1%), virtual producers with 110 GWh (24.7%), and renewable electricity producers with a feed-in tariff (FIT) of 19GWh (4.2%).
The share of domestic electricity production in net consumption is 100%.
