According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in June 2025, 402 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 434 GWh. ESM contributed the largest share with 189 GWh (43.5%), followed by virtual producers with 127 GWh (29.2%), independent producers with 85 GWh (19.7%), and renewable electricity producers with feed-in tariff (FIT) 33GWh (7.6%).
The share of domestic electricity production in net consumption is 94.6%.
