According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in May 2025, 413 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 417 GWh. ESM contributed the largest share with 201 GWh (48.2%), followed by virtual producers with 107 GWh (25.6%), independent producers with 57 GWh (13.7%), and renewable electricity producers with feed-in tariff (FIT) 52GWh (12.5%).
The share of domestic electricity production in net consumption is 100%.
