According to data from the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO), in April 2025, 469 GWh of electricity was sold to meet the country’s total electricity consumption, excluding losses, i.e., net consumption.
Transactions from domestic production amounted to 405 GWh. ESM contributed the largest share with 208 GWh (51.2%), followed by virtual producers with 90 GWh (22.1%), preferential producers using a preferential electricity tariff with 61 GWh (15.2%) and independent producers with 46 GWh (11.5%).
The share of domestic electricity production in net consumption is 86.5%.
