PREFERRED MANUFACTURERS

A producer of electricity from renewable sources can acquire the status of a preferential producer of electricity with a feed-in tariff, in accordance with the Law on Energy and state aid regulations intended to support the production of electricity from renewable sources.

Pursuant to the Legal Regulation, MEMO as an operator of the electricity market purchases the electricity produced by the preferential producers who use a feed-in tariff and sells the energy to suppliers and traders who sell electricity to end consumers based on their participation in the consumption (total consumption).

In addition, MEMO is the balance responsible party for preferential producers.

Within the Electricity Market Operator, the activities related to preferential electricity producers such as administration of preferential producers, purchase and sale of produced electricity are performed by the service for preferential electricity producers.

In order to enable the purchase and sale of electricity from preferential producers and to make the necessary information available to suppliers and traders, it is necessary to prepare a forecast of electricity production from preferential producers, a forecast of consumption as well as a calculation of the quantities for each hour of the day.
